ParticleQuest ("the App") is an offline educational application focused on Japanese particle learning. We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains our approach to data collection and privacy protection.

Information Collection

What We DO NOT Collect

The App does NOT collect, transmit, or store any personal information, including but not limited to:

• Names, email addresses, or any contact information
• Device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, or any other identifiers)
• Location data
• Usage behavior data
• Analytics or tracking data
• IP addresses
• Any other personal information

Local Data Storage

The App only stores the following learning-related data locally on your device:

• Learning Progress: Completed lessons and quiz records
• Mastery Data: Proficiency levels for courses and particles
• Review Queue: Items scheduled for review
• Statistics: Personal learning statistics (study days, completed quizzes, etc.)
• App Settings: Language preferences, theme settings, haptic feedback preferences

Important: All this data is stored exclusively on your device and is never uploaded to any server or shared with any third party.

Data Usage

The locally stored learning data is used solely for:

• Recording your learning progress
• Providing personalized review recommendations
• Displaying learning statistics and achievements
• Saving your app preference settings

Data Sharing

We DO NOT share your data with any third parties because:

• The App does not connect to any servers
• No third-party analytics services are integrated
• No advertising networks are included
• No social media integration is used
• No cloud services are used

Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• Data security is protected by iOS system sandbox mechanisms
• If you have iCloud Backup enabled, learning data may be included in device backups
• Deleting the App will permanently delete all local data

Children's Privacy

The App is suitable for users of all ages. Since we do not collect any personal information, we do not collect any data from children under 13 years of age.

ParticleQuest is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) because we collect zero data from any users, including children.

Third-Party Services

The App DOES NOT use any third-party services, including:

• Analytics services (such as Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.)
• Advertising networks
• Social media SDKs
• Cloud storage services
• Payment processing services (the App is a one-time paid download)

Data Deletion

You can delete all local data at any time by:

• Reset Progress: Use the "Reset Progress" feature in the App's Settings page
• Delete App: Uninstalling the App from your device will permanently delete all data

Since we don't collect any data on our servers, there's nothing to request deletion of from us.

Your Rights

Under applicable data protection laws (including GDPR and CCPA), you have the following rights:

• Right of Access: You can view your learning data within the App at any time
• Right to Deletion: You can delete your data at any time (via Reset Progress or deleting the App)
• Right to Data Portability: Since data is stored locally, you have complete control over your data

Legal Basis

The App's data processing is based on:

• Contract Performance: Data processing necessary to provide you with learning services
• Legitimate Interests: Improving App functionality and user experience

International Data Transfers

Since the App operates completely offline, there are no international data transfers involved.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

If we make significant changes to this Privacy Policy, we will:

• Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document
• Provide prominent notice within the App
