ParticleQuest is a Japanese particle learning product by ThinksView. We focus on a small but meaningful part of learning Japanese: understanding why a particle belongs in a sentence.
A place to understand. A way to practice.
The website offers free guides and instant practice without an account. The app provides 36 lessons, 720 questions, and mistake review with offline access. Use the library on its own, or add the app when you want a more structured practice routine.
How we create the learning content
Our guides and examples are original ParticleQuest content, created with AI-assisted drafting and translation. We link to Japan Foundation materials for further study, describe the scope of beginner rules, and avoid treating ambiguous sentences as single-answer questions. We do not claim that every guide has been reviewed by a certified teacher.
Each guide includes an update date and a feedback link. If you find a problem with an example, reading, translation, or explanation, send us the page and sentence. We will check and correct it, updating the date when the content materially changes.
A note on JLPT levels
The app is intended for beginner to intermediate learners, including people preparing for N5–N3. This is a study orientation, not a promise that a particular construction belongs to an official test list. The JLPT does not publish a complete vocabulary, kanji, and grammar specification, and ParticleQuest is not affiliated with the JLPT. See the official JLPT FAQ
